Tom Walker received his law degree from Southern University in May of 1985. Starting in January of 1984, Tom was hired by the McKernan Law Firm as a law clerk. Upon graduating from law school, Tom was hired by the firm as an Associate. Other than the founder of the McKernan Law Firm, Tom has been with the firm longer than any other member has. Tom has been an advocate for consumers, injured persons and families who have lost their loved ones for over twenty-four years. He has been hired by over a thousand clients from areas in Louisiana including Baton Rouge, Lake Charles, DeRidder, Sulphur, Gibsland, Shreveport, Monroe, and Iowa; cities in Texas such as Houston, Nederland, Orange, Baytown, Spring, Dallas, Tyler, Seabrook, Vidor, Gilmer, and Friendswood; and many places in Mississippi including Hattiesburg, Heidelberg, Laurel, Jackson, Foxworth, Purvis, Prentiss, Picayune, Sumrall, Petal, Lumberton, Gulfport, Tylertown, Wiggins and Collins.   Tom is directly involved in settlements or verdicts for his clients that have totaled over sixty-one million dollars . This includes all types of cases, particularly auto accidents, commercial trucking, asbestos lung disease, mesothelioma, slip and fall, product liability, industrial accidents, and wrongful death. Tom's expertise in all areas of the firms practice as well as his compassion and support to his current and former clients is a valuable asset to the law firm. Tom is married to Aza Willis and they have two daughters, Aza Mercer and Dee Dee. He is a member of the Louisiana State bar Association, Baton Rouge Bar Association, and Louisiana Association for Justice.
