Drew Brees Wins by One Stroke Against Gordon McKernan

Drew Brees All-Star Pro Quarterback for the Saints has a handicap of 2, Gordon McKernan handicap of 9.  However, on June 14, 2011 Gordon McKernan was able to keep up with Drew Brees to the very end at the English Turn Golf Tournament.  Drew Brees did win by one stroke at the eighteenth hole.  Congratulations Drew!

Gordon McKernan was able to be a participant at a mock trial for the Baton Rouge Bar Association.  This allows law students to participate in a trial before they become an attorney.

1st 3D Personal Injury Attorney Commercial

On February 6, 2011, the first 3D Personal Injury Attorney Commercial was aired during Super Bowl XLV.  Gordon McKernan came up with the idea for a 3D commercial while at the movies with his children.  He produced the commercial, designed 3D glasses that were distributed through out the greater Baton Rouge, Gonzales, Denham Springs and other areas by Domino's, Kean's Fine Dry Cleaning and FOX44.  If you would like free 3D glasses, contact us to view online through YouTube or our website.

Gordon was interviewed by FOX44/NBC33 and WJBO 1150 with hosts Mike Kennedy and Kevin Meeks (February 3).  The interview on FOX44/NBC33 aired on February 2.  Both interviews were about the buzz created for the 1st 3D Personal Injury Commercial.

Gordon Speaker - National Save a Life Tour

Gordon was invited to speak at the National Safe a Life Tour by the Baton Rouge Safety Council.  The tour was at Addis Community Center.  The National Save a Life Tour was very successful. Gordon McKernan was able to speak to 3 different area high schools about the various types of consequences that they may face when they make a decision to drink and drive including the legal, economic, social and emotional aspects. Gordon McKernan and Staff Attend Latin Festival 2010

Gordon McKernan and various staff members attended the Latin Festival in Baton Rouge.  They had a booth set up to answer any legal questions that the crowd may have had.  Gordon has attorneys and staff that speak Spanish.  The Latin Festival had close to 2,000 in attendance with incredible food and music.

Gordon McKernan and McKernan Law Firm to Handle Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill Cases

On April 20, an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico exploded into flames. This has now become a catastrophe of untold magnitude for the Gulf Coast.

BP PLC was leasing an oil rig called The Deepwater Horizon, which was owned by Transocean, Ltd. The company was drilling 50 miles southeast of Venice, Louisiana in 5,000 feet of water when the rig exploded. Eventually, the burning rig collapsed and sank.

The accident took an extreme human toll - 11 oil rig workers are missing and believed dead, and 17 other maritime workers were wounded, some critically.

Shortly after this offshore accident, a tremendous environmental disaster started to unfold. As many as 210,000 gallons of oil per day began escaping into the Gulf from the drill site crude. Oil has spread across the Gulf and begun to contaminate the Gulf Coast's beaches, shores, rivers, wetlands and fishing grounds.

The livelihoods of those on the Gulf Coast due to the mounting environmental disaster could prove to be devastating. NBC33/FOX44 Interview Gordon McKernan at Earl K. Long

NBC33 / FOX44 recognize Gordon McKernan at Earl K. Long on Friday, March 12 at 10 am for the television donations. They do an informal interview about why Mr. McKernan donated the TV's. Mr. McKernan said that because God has blessed him and the McKernan Law Firm, he enjoys giving back to the community in different areas.
He saw that there was a need at Earl K. Long Hospital and was glad that he and McKernan Law Firm were able to assist in meeting that need.

Gordon McKernan Interviewed for His Opinion on the "Chamber survey slams La."

On March 23, 2010 Gordon McKernan was interviewed for NBC33 to get his reaction to the recent article that was published in The Advocate. Kelsie with NBC33 asked Gordon a variety of questions in regards to a survey that was conducted via telephone and online October 22 and January 21. According to the article the survey's respondents were 90 percent senior attorneys for corporations.
