Originally from New Orleans, Ms. Eastman-Stuart relocated to the Northwestern portion of the country - living in Montana, Colorado, Idaho and Oregon - before returning to graduate high school in Louisiana. She then attended Southeastern Louisiana University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government, with minors in History and Biology. During her time at Southeastern University Ms. Eastman-Stuart was named to the Dean's List numerous times. She was also a member of the Gamma Beta Phi National Honor Society and the Phi Alpha Theta Honors History Society.  She pursued a Master's degree in history, before switching gears and attending Louisiana State University's Paul M. Hebert Law Center and earning her Juris Doctorate degree in 2001.

Shannon began her practice as an indigent defender, representing clients in felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile proceedings. Shannon left this area of practice with a winning trial record and having successfully obtained several favorable appellate decisions for her clients. In 2005, Shannon began practicing in the area of personal injury with a large plaintiff firm in New Orleans, Louisiana, and more recently relocated to a personal injury firm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Bringing her devotion to helping those unable to effectively fight for themselves, she has represented hundreds of clients injured by the negligence of others all over the state of Louisiana.  Over the years, Shannon has represented victims in 18 wheeler accidents, hit and run accidents, motorcycle collisions, products liability matters, slip and fall accidents, victims of drunk drivers, and pedestrians injured by careless drivers.  Her clients have included those suffering from various types of injuries, including herniated discs, serious facial scarring, chemical burns, broken vertebrae, severe head injuries, knee injuries, post-traumatic stress disorder, rotator cuff injuries, carpal tunnel syndrome, and many other types of injuries.  Shannon has a particular passion for going after insurance companies she feels have demonstrated a bad faith handling of claims.

Shannon is married to John Eastman-Stuart and has three children.  Shannon enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and exploring antique and vintage shops. She is an avid fan of professional tennis and LSU football.
